What is Zitair?
The CLUB
Founded in 1971 Zitair Flying Club Limited is one of the longest established and we believe best run groups at Wycombe Air Park. It is governed by its articles of association, operational notices, regular committee meetings and a formal AGM. And of course there is an optional social side.
The group is truly varied in its experience, ranging from ATPLs to PPLs. All the committee members are elected from the group every year and cover the key roles of Chairman, Treasurer, Company Secretary and Bookings Officer.
Hotel Bravo is a four place, single engine aircraft with retractable undercarriage, 200BHP engine, variable pitch prop and cowl flaps. It’s a superb high performance single that can cruise at 145 kts but flies without vices at 85kts. Its 750 nm range makes it a great tourer. A Piper/Cessna pilot can convert typically in 1 to 3 hours flying. The plane was built in 1981 and put on the UK register in 1983. Based and hangared at Wycombe Air Park and maintained by Aerotech at Coventry. The serial number is 24-1190 and the initial US registration was N1145G. It has always been kept in a hangar.
It has Garmin and King avionics with coupled autopilot: GTN 750 GPS/NAV/COM/MFD, G5 PFD and HSI, GFC500 autopilot, DME, ADF, GNC255 COM/NAV 2, RBI and an ADS-B in/out Mode S Transponder. It is not certified for flight into known icing conditions. The aircraft is equipped with 4 life-jackets, a 4-man life raft and PLB. A rebuilt zero-timed engine was installed in 2009. The aircraft was reupholstered in leather in 2006. A new avionics stack was installed in 2014 with further upgrades in 2021 and 2023.

Wycombe Air Park
Wycombe Air Park has been HB’s home since 1983. It has always been hangared. The airfield has changed a lot in that time and more recently has had a difficult time with the lockdown and all its consequences. But the current owners and management are determined to return the airfield to its former glory days. It’s a testament to their commitment that HB has flown regularly during this time and continues to do so.
Departure and arrival slots must be booked using this online form. Once a booking is approved, the operations staff will send a confirmation email that includes the latest version of the pilot briefing pack.
